Hello dear praying friends. With this info you will be current on the SWAT team for Christ. We love serving the Lord, and we love what the good Lord has put on our plate to do for Him.
In addition to these reports there is the link for a very excellent street meeting video in the village of Talakag in the rain.
Serving the Lord is the greatest thing God ever created to do in life. Life is ministry, and ministry is life. AMEN!

NEW CLASS FROM THE MOUNTAINS
Psalm 121:1 A Song of Degrees. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
We feel like we have tapped a new source for students for the Bible institute. For about 6 years now we have been supplying an evangelistic ministry to a village far up in the mountains called Kalinawan. Many have been saved and a church has been built. Several people have been credited with this ministry and it is alive and well today. Some months ago we decided to offer the young people in that church the opportunity to come to Bible Institute. These teens are hindered by lack of education and skill in reading their own language as well as English but they are very fast learners so we have had to learn to be very fast teachers. We started with five guys coming and living on the compound and it went so well we brought two more guys and two girls. They all have such humble spirits and great respect for their elders that there have been zero problems so far. I am having to pare down the depth of the institute classes a bit but that is simply a challenge for me. A wise preacher said years ago that the challenge in preaching and teaching is making what you teach rather than impressing others with your vocabulary and theological knowledge.
We look forward to some of these in this group going back into their mountains and evangelizing their friends and relatives and starting new churches. They can certainly do a much better job than we ever could.
This group is a lot of fun for us … they are first timers in so many things. The big city is all new … the beach, singing specials in church, choir, electricity, flush toilets, running water, street meetings and in-depth teaching and preaching. They seem to be eating it all up.
MEETING PLACE IN TALAKAG
We have purchased a small piece of land in connection with our six-year old ministry in a village in Talakag. (Don’t try to pronounce it you might swallow your tongue) Along with our academics with this new group mentioned above Pastor Alvin will be teaching them how to take a piece of raw, heavily weeded, unlevel land and prep it for a concrete floor, short walls and metal roof. We will keep you informed in the progress of all of this.
