Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
NEW MINISTRY In Intorsura Buzaului
Above is a truly great verse though preached and applied many times over many years it remains fresh awaiting current application. Our Jerusalem is fairly well established and we continue working on "all Judea" here in Romania. The city mentioned above is definitely not for Americans to try to pronounce you might swallow your tongue. It is a sizable city about 45 minutes from our home to the NE.
In photo # 122.01 is a couple that began visiting our church from this community about 6 months ago. Ionos and Mariana Boli. They are good Christian folk and have been as faithful as their long journey and health would allow. They like the preaching in our church and have mentioned relatives and friends who might be interested. I asked if they would house a Bible study and they smilingly jumped at the idea. Last night, as you can see in photos # 122.02, 03, 04, 05, and 06 we had eight adults and three kids the rest are interpreter and song leader who came with us. There was an amazingly wonderful spirit there and I had great liberty to minister the Word of God. First lesson was on the authority of the Word of God. God only knows where this will lead possibly another church there in that city. This is the way our ministry in Racos started out. Praise the Lord. I included instruction on the simplicity of salvation via the Word of God but chose not to press this on our first visit will keep you informed. Robin and Mary will teach the kids that come next week a Bible story the kids are excited about this.
Praise the good Lord for all of our very active and faithful young people. Some are students and some have finished college. Some are in our Bible institute, some have finished and some will start soon. Almost all of them are very strong and faithful witnesses and ministers. In photo # 122.07 Johnny is preaching on Wed. PM he does a great job. In photo # 122.08 Cornel stands beside the picture he drew of the thief on the cross who got saved. He did this while I preached on this subject. Danutz interpreted for me they all lead singing and go door to door both in the college dorms as well as in neighborhoods they all preach on the street. Praise the Lord for young men who are NOT ashamed of the gospel of Christ. Please pray for them as they grow and mature in the Lord.
In photo # 122.09 you see that they are still "young people" as they still get very noisy and excited over a game of Monopoly. In a way I wish I was still that young and in another way I am glad that I am not cause I hate Monopoly. Maybe it is partly because on the 12th of this month I will turn 64.
Hey, let me mention one more interesting thing that happened on the street meeting last Friday night. I had just finished preaching and one of the guys started up quickly. I walked to a young father holding a new born infant. I gave him a tract he spoke good English He had a testimony of salvation and said he too did some preaching I then looked at our young man preaching on the street I said to the father, "OK, you're next" to which he took a deep breath and began to make excuse as well as admire someone who "could" muster up that much courage I told him it did not require courage but simple obedience. He bowed his head in a degree of embarrassment. I mentioned my book I am not ashamed" which has a whole chapter on dealing with fear. He quickly interrupted me and said Oh, I have been to your website I have read the Street Preacher's Manual." I was utterly amazed here I am in Romania a man I never saw before comes up during a street meeting and then tells me he has visited my website and read my books this electronic world is nearly too much for me.
