Act 12:25 And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem, when they had fulfilled their ministry, and took with them John, whose surname was Mark.
A FULFILLED MINISTRY
This is so simple that many miss it. It is common Bible that once a ministry is fulfilled the minister moves on. When the job is done you move forward to another. Who knows when the job is done? THE BOSS, of course! He and He alone makes that decision and He also decides the next job and where. He tells you when to start the new assignment and he provides the transportation. HE, IS THE BOSS!
THE BOSS has decided that our ministry in Romania has been fulfilled and is marvelously moving us step by step to the Philippines. He is providing peace, leadership, direction and all necessary materials along the way. He is closing down our duties on this jobsite in proper timing and opening opportunities in the new location all in HIS time.
Rev 3:7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
FIELD TRIP TO PI
THE BOSS sent me on a field trip to spy out the promised land. He put me on a plane and flew me from Bucharest to London to Dallas to Memphis to NYC to Hong Kong to Cebu back to Hong Kong then to Istambul and home to Bucharest. Around the world in 28 days. WHEW! In Memphis I helped to lead the national street preachers convention at the Beale St. Blast along with Ken Lansing and other long time friends and fellow labourers. In NYC Pastor Mike Veach joined me and we flew over the North Pole to HK and then to Cebu. We ministered in the PI for about two weeks. We preached and helped distribute the brand new parallel translation of Cebuano and English. This was a 20 year labor by Ruben Sulapas (whom I will be working with beginning in January 2011). This translation work is word for word from the KJV and Received Text. It is beautiful to behold and we helped give this blessing away to several hundred national pastors. THE BOSS sure provides good tools.
Robins new catchword when Mary and I ask where some item might happen to be "Packed". I guess we must live with this for a while. We fly out of Romania Aug. 15. Mary Bethany starts school at Bible Baptist Translators in Bowie, TX Aug. 18. I fly on to KC to begin a very tight schedule of meetings presenting the work of the Bible Institute in the Philippines in churches across the East of the US through December. We end our meetings in Phoenix and fly out on Jan. 2.
FULFILLING THE FINAL DUTIES
Our Summer Bible Institute began June 27 with 23 students. We are having a wonderful but very busy time teaching our crash course to some of the finest students I have ever been privileged to teach. Some hail from NY, some from TX, others from AL and VA and one from ID. They are also learning to amalgamate their different backgrounds. We are teaching them a very concentrated curriculum of OT survey, NT survey, Cults, Dispensational Truth, Manuscript Evidence and Preparation and Delivery of Sermons. They are all doing quite well considering the stress required to finish.
HEALTHY, HEARTY AND HAPPY
There are no downers in this new move. It is not easy on our 5 and 6 decade bodies but we are well up to it. We are chomping at the bit to get started in the new ministry and we are all happy that the good Lord still has something valuable and important for us to do.
Until now our ministry has only required that the needs of our immediate family be supplied but with the prospect of starting a full service Bible Institute at no charge for all who qualify, this will require considerably more funds. Please pray that THE BOSS will hear this request and faithfully supply all that will be needed. Phil. 4:19.
